Twizzlers: Scarves with a Twist

These little moebius shoulder wraps are quick to knit and pretty to wear. Because they are knit as rectangles, they can be twisted and joined into moebius shapes as shown here, or left as scarves. Various sizes and finishing options allow you to customize your project. Recommended for Intermediate knitters.

Recommended yarn for each scarf:

1 skein Fiddlesticks Knitting Country Silk "Demi" (50% wool, 30% silk, 20% nylon) each skein approx. 125 g / 400 m

Finished sizes for Fit to be Tied (top):

To fit shoulders 39, 42.5, 46, 49.5, 53 inches or more depending on number of pattern repeats worked. Also refers to length of scarf excluding fringes or frills.

Finished sizes for What a Frill (bottom):

To fit shoulders 38, 40, 42, 44, 46 inches or more depending on number of stitches cast on. Also refers to length of scarf excluding fringes or frills.

Needles for Fit to be Tied:

4.5 mm (US 7) straight or circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge

Needles for What a Frill:

4.5 mm (US 7) 24 to 32 inch circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge
