Sea and Sand Wrap

The Sea and Sand Wrap with its wavy lace pattern and textured stripes, evokes feelings of waves and sandy shores. Make it in the sage version shown here ("sea") or the latte version ("sand"). This all-natural wrap is knit with easy-care Ecoknit Organic Cotton. It improves with gentle machine washing and drying, so no blocking is necessary. A shrinkage of about 7% has been factored into the design and final measurements. Suitable for Intermediate knitters.

Recommended yarn:

Organic Cotton, 50 g / 100 m
14 skeins in three colours:
6 medium, 4 dark and 4 cream

Finished size:

Approx. 40 inches on each long side of the "vee," 22 inches on the inside edge, and 20 inches across the straight end of the lace border.

If a longer wrap is desired, it is easy to increase either the lace border or the striped section, but be sure to purchase more yarn.

Gauge in stocking stitch:

Unwashed: 4 inches = 19 stitches and 27 rows
Washed: 4 inches = 19.5 stitches and 30.5 rows
