Raj Shawl
The Raj Shawl features lace designed with double yarnovers for a bold, dramatic effect. The photo to the right shows it knit with Country Silk fingering-weight yarn (discontinued) for a light, airy effect. The shawl was also designed for Raj Silk, a recycled sari silk, also discontinued. Recycled sari silk substitutes could be used if they match the yardage / weight per skein of Raj Silk (4 skeins at approx. 100 gr / 150 m).
The shawl is started at the middle top and increases at the sides and middle to create a triangular shape. Lace is worked on one side only. The bottom lace edging is created with a series of four-times yarnovers which are then cast off. Recommended for Advanced Beginner/Intermediate lace knitters.
