Lily of the Valley Stole

The Lily of the Valley Stole is a pretty and feminine wrap, featuring traditional Estonian lace patterns. Little bobbles called "nupps" create the illusion of sweet sprays of lily of the valley.

The stole is worked by knitting a lace edging from which stitches are picked up to knit the main rectangular body. Then it is finished by knitting another lace edging and the stitches are cast off in the Estonian style. Recommended for Intermediate knitters.

Recommended yarn:

2 balls Fiddlesticks Knitting Zephyr Laceweight (50% merino, 50% Tussah silk) each ball approx. 2 oz / 630 yds

Finished size:

Approx. 73 inches long and 28 inches wide
If a longer stole is desired, order another ball of yarn and work extra repeats.
