Jasmine Jacket

Elegant and easy-to-wear, this lace knitting jacket features a slight A-line shape that is flattering to many body types. The jacket is knit in one piece from the bottom edge to the armholes, where it is divided for fronts and back. Sleeves are knit flat. Front facings and collar are picked up and knit in seed stitch. Cuffs are picked up at the bottom edge of the sleeves and worked in the round to the desired length. There is lace shaping on every row, but the lace is simple and easy to work. Sample shown in Size 1 and "Wheatsheaf." NOTE: Fiddlesticks Knitting patterns are charted. Recommended for Advanced Intermediate knitters.

Size 1: 35 inches - 13 balls

Size 2: 40 inches - 15 balls

Size 3: 45 inches - 16 balls

Size 4: 50 inches - 17 balls

24-inch circulars for body

Sizes 3 and 4:

32-inch circulars for body

All Sizes:

24-inch circulars or straight needles for sleeves

32-inch circulars for facings and collar

3.5 mm (US 4) double-pointed needles or 2 circulars for sleeve cuffs
