This versatile vest features a harmonious combination of interesting Japanese texture, lace knitting and cable stitches. Flattering to wear, it can be tied closely for an elegant fit (as shown here), or loosely for a more casual look (click on thumbnail photos below). NOTE: Fiddlesticks Knitting patterns are charted. Recommended for Advanced Intermediate knitters.

Knitted measurements at bust and yarn requirements:

Size 1: 34 inches - 8 balls

Size 2: 38 inches - 9 balls

Size 3: 42 inches - 10 balls

Size 4: 46 inches - 11 balls

Size 5: 50 inches - 12 balls

Size 6: 54 inches - 13 balls

Ease can be allowed by how tightly the vest is tied.

Needles:

3.5 mm (US 4) 24-inch circular needles (or straights for body and circulars for collar)

3 mm (US 3) 24-inch circular needles (or straights for body and circulars for collar)

3 mm (US 3) 16-inch circular needles for armhole bands

3.5 mm (US 4) double- pointed needles
(for I-cord)
