The Florence Scarves

The Florence Scarves were inspired by the design of a simple scarf seen in a shop window in Florence, Italy. The rectangular scarf is knit from end to end and has a deep, knotted fringe. The triangular scarf is started at the top with two stitches and then increased to create a triangular shape. At the bottom edge it is finished with a frill. Both designs are included in the pattern. Recommended for Advanced Beginners.

Fiddlesticks Knitting Zephyr Laceweight (50% merino, 50% Tussah silk) each ball approx. 2 oz / 630 yds

Yarn requirements and scarf sizes:

Rectangular Scarf: 1 ball - 13 inches wide x 47 inches long, excluding fringe

Triangular Scarf: 1 ball - 56 inches across top and 28 inches deep, excluding frill

Needles:

Tighter knitters use 3.5 mm (US 4) needles and looser knitters use 4 mm (US 6) needles
