Falling Leaves Shawl

This all-natural shawl is knit with easy-care Ecoknit Organic Cotton. It improves with gentle machine washing and drying, so no blocking is necessary. A shrinkage of about 12% has been factored into the design and final measurements.

It starts with a cast on at the bottom edge with larger needles, then as you work your way up the shawl, smaller needles are used while the rows become shorter and faster to work. At the end, just weave in a few loose ends and machine wash and dry! Recommended for Intermediate knitters.

Organic Cotton, 50 g / 100 m

Finished size:

Approx. 78 inches across top and 39 inches deep

Needles:

6 mm (US 10) 32-inch circular needles

4.5 mm (US 7) 32-inch circular needles

or sizes needed to obtain gauge

Gauge in swatch pattern:

Unwashed: 4 inches = 15 stitches and 25 rows
Washed: 4 inches = 17 stitches and 28 rows
