Caress Lacy Top

The Caress Lacy Top wraps softly around you, charming as a cover-up over a camisole or sleeveless Tee. The bottom edge curves gently at the front and the 3/4 length lacy sleeves create a garment reminiscent of Victorian jackets.

Back, front panels and sleeves are worked flat, then stitches are picked up and the lacy borders are knit sideways to the garment edges. An I-cord finishes the neckline. Sample shown in Size 1 and Ladyslipper. Recommended for Advanced Intermediate or Experienced knitters.

Recommended yarn:

Fiddlesticks Knitting Zephyr Laceweight,
(50% merino, 50% Tussah silk) each ball approx. 2 oz / 630 yds, yarn held doubled throughout

Knitted measurements at bust and yarn requirements:

Size 1: 34 inches - 4 balls

Size 2: 36 inches - 4 balls

Size 3: 38 inches - 4 balls

Size 4: 40 inches - 5 balls

Size 5: 44 inches - 5 balls

Size 6: 48 inches - 6 balls

Needles:

3.25 (US 3) 24-inch circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge in lace pattern:

4 inches = 21 stitches and 34 rows
