Two Lace Scarves These two scarves come as a packagetwo patterns in one! Even better, each scarf uses only one ball of Fiddlesticks Knitting Zephyr Laceweight. Please note that this is a revised and updated version of the original "Two Lace Scarves" pattern, which used NZ Artisan merino, now reworked for Zephyr laceweight yarn. The triangular Daisy Meadow Scarf is worked from the bottom tip to the top edge, increasing every second row to create the shape. The rectangular Rippling Waters Scarf is worked by knitting a lace edging from which stitches are picked up to work the main body. Then it is finished by knitting another lace edging onto the live stitches of the body. Both are garter stitch scarves, knit on 3.5 mm (US 4) to 4 mm (US 5 or 6) needles. Recommended for Intermediate knitters. Each design uses less than one ball of Fiddlesticks Knitting Zephyr Laceweight (2 oz / 630 yds). See "View Colours" for the many colourways available. Finished sizes can vary, but our Daisy Meadow Scarf is approximately 50 in. from tip-to-tip and 37 in. along each side edge. For Rippling Waters Scarf, size is approximately 11 1/2 in. wide and 55 in. long (scarf can easily be made longer). |
