This stole features traditional Shetland lace patterns, which, with a little imagination could resemble spiders and their webs.
Knit on 3 mm (US 4) needles and 3 mm (US 4) double-pointed needles, it is a garter stitch stole with lace shaping on every row. Not for the beginner, this challenging project will be worn with pride when completed.
Recommended for Experienced lace knitters.
The pattern was designed with five skeins of Artisan NZ Merino Lace Weight yarn (20 gram skein = 300 metres), but any fine laceweight or cobweb yarn would be an acceptable substitute. Finished size is 31 inches wide and 79 inches long.
