The
Paisley Long Shawl was inspired by the designs of the beautiful woven
paisley shawls of the 19th century. It is an interpretation in lace of
a long shawl dating from about 1820, and features original lace motifs
of botehs (the small motifs filling the middle ground of the shawl) and
larger paisley patterns. The design uses five ounces (1,575 yards) of Zephyr Laceweight Wool-Silk, or three skeins. Finished size is about 29 inches wide and 77 inches long, not including fringe. NOTE: You can also reduce the number of center pattern repeats, or not use fringes in your finishing, and choose the two-skein version of the kit. Needles: 3.5 mm (US 4) needles or size needed to obtain gauge For more pictures, click on "View Details" below. To see the many colours available, click on "View Colours." |
