Lorelei

Lorelei is a maidenly little jacket to wear over skirts or jeans. Choose Cream for a demure look, Ebony for a dressy look, or a bright colour for fun! Lace panels (large charts are provided) add a special touch, but all shaping is easily worked in the stocking stitch areas.

Body is worked in one piece to the armholes, then fronts and back are worked separately. Sleeves are worked flat. A simple crochet edging (photographic instructions provided) finishes the garment. Recommended for Intermediate lace knitters.

Knitted measurements at bust and yarn requirements:

Size 1: 33 inches - 6 balls

Size 2: 36.5 inches - 7 balls

Size 3: 40 inches - 7 balls

Size 4: 42.75 inches - 8 balls

Size 5: 46 inches - 9 balls

Size 6: 49 inches - 10 balls

Needles:

3.5 mm (US 4) 24-inch circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge (Note: pointy needles make it easier to perform some actions)

double-pointed needles in same size as knitting gauge

Gauge in stocking stitch:

4 inches = 19.5 sts and 30 rows
