View Colours (Demi and large skeins have same colours)

The Kimono Vest

The Kimono Vest, worked in two colours, flatters the figure with its darker central panels, although it could easily be made with only one colour if preferred. The collar can be worn up or folded down to form a soft shawl collar.

The vest is worked by knitting two side armhole panels, then picking up stitches for the darker back panel, which is worked in seed stitch. Shoulders are joined, then the front facings and collar are picked up and worked in seed stitch. A decorative tab in front buttons the vest, and a similar tab in back cinches the waist.

Recommended for Intermediate knitters.

Yarn requirements:
Sizes 1 to 4:
• 2 skeins Fiddlesticks Knitting Country Silk “Demi” yarn, each 125 g / 400 m (one lighter and one darker).

Sizes 5 and 6:
• 1 skein Fiddlesticks Knitting Country Silk “Demi” yarn, 125 g / 400 m in darker colour.
• 1 skein Fiddlesticks Knitting Country Silk yarn, 250 g / 800 m in lighter colour.
