The Filigree Turtleneck
The
easy-care Ecoknit organic cotton for this design improves with gentle
machine washing and drying. There is a shrinkage of about 9.5% in length
when machine washed and dried. This has been factored into the design
and final measurements. Yarn substitutions are not recommended.
Four sizes are given:
Small (to fit 32–34 bust)
Medium (to fit 36–38 bust)
Large (to fit 40–42 bust)
X-Large (to fit 44–46 bust)
The easy-to-memorize pattern creates the effect of lace with a simple
slip-stitch and yarnover. At the end, I-cords are threaded through the
holes at turtleneck and hip slits for a stylish accent.
Recommended for Intermediate knitters.
Yarn requirements:
12 (14, 15, 16) skeins Ecoknit organic cotton:
50 g / 100 m
Needles: 3.75 mm (US 5) straight or circular needles; 3.75 (US
5) 16-inch circular needles; and 3.5 mm (US 4) double-pointed needles
or sizes needed to obtain gauge.
