Creatures of the Reef
The Creatures of the Reef Shawl is a fanciful look at an ocean reef and the wonderful creatures that live there. In this shawl, you'll knit seashells, crabs, seahorses, starfish, two kinds of fish and foamy waves.
Recommended for Advanced Beginners and Intermediates.
This shawl is knit on 3.5 mm (US 4) and 3 mm (US 3) needles and starts at the bottom edge. As you work your way up the shawl, the rows become shorter and faster to work. At the end, all you do is weave in a couple of loose ends and block! Be sure to check out the pretty colours available.
The pattern uses four ounces of Zephyr Laceweight Wool-Silk (1,260 yards). Finished size is 86 inches across the top edge and 45 inches from the middle top to the bottom point.
